About the role
The Programme Manager will lead the Conservation Education Programme of a high‑impact Kenyan conservation organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will set strategic direction, ensure quality delivery across partner schools, and drive financial sustainability while fostering strong relationships with donors and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Own the annual programme plan, budget and delivery calendar.
- Set and track targets across Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL) levels – inputs, outputs, results, outcomes and impact.
- Lead programme expansion and manage the transition to scale.
- Line‑manage the Education and Field Lab team, ensuring performance and development.
- Oversee the patron network, providing training, support and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security and donor requirements.
- Produce regular reports and communicate progress to schools, partners and funders.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years (60 months) experience in programme or project management, preferably in conservation, education or NGOs.
- Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams and manage multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
- Strong understanding of donor priorities, fundraising cycles and financial stewardship.
- Experience designing and implementing MEL frameworks and using data to inform decisions.
- Passionate about wildlife conservation and environmental education.
