About the role
The Programme Quality & Development Professional supports SOS Children’s Villages Member Associations in delivering evidence‑based, high‑quality programmes across alternative care, family strengthening and community empowerment. Working within a structured support framework, the role ensures that programmes meet organisational standards and international quality criteria.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Member Association programme staff on assigned thematic areas, ensuring alignment with SOS standards and guidance.
- Assist in designing and delivering trainings and workshops to build capacity on programme quality standards.
- Support implementation and monitoring of organisational and international quality standards, reporting gaps or risks promptly.
- Offer technical input during project design, proposal development and quality‑assurance checks.
- Help contextualise federation quality requirements to local settings while maintaining adherence to established standards.
- Document best practices, share lessons learned and contribute to continuous programme improvement.
Required profile
- Experience in programme quality assurance, monitoring or development within the humanitarian or development sector.
- Strong understanding of alternative care, family strengthening or community empowerment approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across multiple countries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel to assigned locations as needed.
