Part-time Lecturer in Health Systems Management & Informatics

About the role

Amref International University seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in health systems management, health services management, health records, and health informatics. The role involves curriculum development, research supervision, and participation in university committees.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and skills‑based sessions in public health and related subjects.
• Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and supervise postgraduate research.
• Participate in examinations, accreditation, quality‑assurance and committee work.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish findings and manage research grants.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health or related discipline (Health Systems Management, Health Informatics, etc.).
• At least three years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and scholarly publication.
• Registered with relevant professional body where applicable.

• Strong research methodology, grant‑writing and publication skills.
• Proficiency with ICT tools and learning/research management platforms.
