About the role
CMMB Kenya is looking for a motivated Project Assistant to support the implementation of its Cervical and Breast Cancer Project in Kwale County. The role involves day‑to‑day coordination of project activities, ensuring quality service delivery and contributing to improved health outcomes for women and the wider community.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and setting performance targets while adhering to technical standards and donor guidelines.
- Track project implementation progress, maintain up‑to‑date documentation, and report on key performance indicators.
- Support beneficiary identification, recruitment and retention processes.
- Ensure compliance with CMMB financial policies, assist with beneficiary payments and prepare liquidation reports.
- Participate in the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly budgets.
- Use project management tools to monitor and evaluate project activities and promote innovative approaches.
- Document success stories, best practices and lessons learned.
- Supervise and mentor community actors such as linkage assistants and community health volunteers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Relevant experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and financial management, preferably in health or NCD projects.
