Project Commercial Head – Solar & Substation EPC

About the role

Master Power Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Project Commercial Head to lead commercial oversight for its Solar EPC, Substation EPC and large MEP projects across Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. The role focuses on protecting project margins, managing variations and claims, and ensuring timely invoicing and cash‑flow.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly profitability forecasts and track revenue, cost, margin and programme against approved budgets.
• Identify and quantify variations, claims, prolongation and disruption costs; maintain an entitlement register.
• Convert milestones and valuations into timely invoices, monitor collections, and prepare cash‑flow forecasts.
• Maintain a commercial risk register, monitor contract compliance and exposure to liquidated damages.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and the Head of Contracts to support final accounts and recover contractual entitlements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management for large‑scale EPC projects.
• Proven track record of driving project profitability and managing commercial risk.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and FX exposure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
