About the role
The Project Field Coordinator will serve as the operational link between the Project Director and local stakeholders in Meru, including farmers and community representatives. The role involves assisting with field schedules, coordinating site access and logistical arrangements, maintaining activity records, monitoring routine field issues, and providing regular updates on project progress.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Project Director in preparing field schedules and coordinating site access and basic logistical arrangements.
- Communicate with farmers, community representatives, project partners and other stakeholders regarding planned field activities.
- Maintain simple records of field activities, materials, attendance, challenges and agreed action points.
- Monitor routine field‑level issues and promptly report significant concerns to the Project Director.
- Provide brief verbal and written updates on field activities and progress.
Required profile
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
- Basic experience working with people, communities or field‑based activities.
- Ability to maintain simple records and prepare brief activity updates.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; reliable, organised and able to follow instructions.
- Must reside in Meru and be available for field activities without travel or accommodation arrangements.
