Project Lead – New Market Expansion

About the role

As the Project Lead for Jaza’s New Market Expansion, you will act as the "CEO of the Launch" and drive the company’s entry into a new country. You will navigate regulatory landscapes, build local partnerships, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to scale from 10 to 120 hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep‑dive research on local labor laws, competitor landscape and technical infrastructure.
• Lead the roadmap for site validation, hub construction, technical operations, hyper‑care support and commercial execution.
• Build, line‑manage and develop local teams while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Serve as the primary interface with government agencies, regulatory bodies and local stakeholders.
• Oversee physical and digital setup of operations, including office space and recruitment.
• Define, track and own success metrics (OKRs) for the first 90 days, such as cost‑per‑acquisition and revenue.
• Drive pilot performance, gather insights, iterate on strategy and make go/no‑go decisions.
• Prepare and present regular performance updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations or project management, preferably in a high‑growth startup or consulting environment.
• 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry is desired.
• Strong technical fluency – able to discuss API integrations, localization challenges and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Proven adaptability in ambiguous environments and willingness to spend the majority of time in the field.
