Purchasing and Inventory Manager – Retail & Wholesale

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Purchasing and Inventory Manager to own purchasing, inventory control and product operations for our retail stores and wholesale business. The role will drive buying decisions, maintain a high‑performing assortment and ensure efficient product flow across channels.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the founder to discover and introduce new products.
• Manage the monthly purchasing budget and approve orders and invoices.
• Maintain tight inventory control, conduct end‑of‑month counts, variance reviews and reporting.
• Analyze sales, margins and product velocity to optimise the mix and reduce waste.
• Own product and vendor lifecycle – onboarding, performance tracking and phase‑outs.
• Ensure accurate product data across POS, site and wholesale catalogues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, dashboards and reporting cadence.
• Collaborate with internal teams, brand partners and wholesale clients on curated assortments and events.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, inventory management or CPG operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data for buying decisions.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage budgets and invoice approvals.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can improve processes and profitability.
