Purchasing Coordinator (Boiler Solutions)

About the role

A client in the boiler and energy solutions industry, based in Nairobi, is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to support end-to-end supply chain operations across boiler projects and related energy solutions. The role covers timely procurement, inventory control, logistics coordination and supplier management so that industrial and institutional clients receive their projects efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement of boiler equipment, spare parts, consumables and project materials; liaise with approved suppliers for timely delivery, quality and cost control
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders and supplier documentation, and follow up on deliveries and resolve supply issues
• Monitor stock levels, keep accurate inventory records and coordinate receipt, storage and issuance of materials
• Support stock counts and reconciliation, and minimise shortages, delays and wastage
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to project sites and clients, working with technical and project teams to match material availability with installation and maintenance schedules
• Track deliveries, ensure documentation is complete and accurate, and support returns, replacements and warranty logistics
• Maintain supply chain records, prepare basic procurement and supply chain reports, and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, safety standards and quality requirements

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field
• 1-3 years' experience in supply chain, preferably in engineering, energy, manufacturing or construction environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment

Required skills

• Basic understanding of procurement, inventory management and logistics
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting
• Strong coordination, communication and follow-up skills
