Quality Engineer – Travel Required

About the role

Joseph Gallagher is seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join its civil engineering and tunnelling team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and able to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan.
• Create Inspection & Test Plans together with Site Engineers.
• Ensure implementation of I&T Plans and maintain quality records.
• Manage and coordinate testing activities.
• Calibrate and control site instruments.
• Prepare testing summary reports for clients.
• Manage and co‑ordinate the production of handover documentation for clients.

Required profile

• Construction background with relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel to various UK project sites.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a construction or civil engineering company.
• Knowledge of EN ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong IT skills and ability to produce clear documentation.
• Self‑motivated with a progressive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of the overall management team.
• Proficiency in CAD.
• Third‑level qualification in engineering, construction management, surveying or a related discipline.
