Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Junior Quantity Surveyor position supports cost estimation, BOQ preparation and cost planning for construction and infrastructure projects in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and support tender preparation.
• Support cost estimation and cost planning activities.
• Monitor project budgets, track variations and assist in cost reporting.
• Collect and analyse project data, collaborating with project managers, engineers and contractors.
• Ensure cost control measures are implemented and maintain accurate documentation.
• Contribute to compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cost‑related skills such as Cost Control and Cost Management.
• Ability to prepare and interpret BOQs as part of project planning and tendering.
• Experience or training in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting.
• Relevant academic background (diploma or degree) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic quantity‑surveying software tools.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow under senior guidance.
