Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, procurement and financial control for large‑scale residential and warehouse projects. The role is based on‑site within the Construction & Delivery Department at Tatu City.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary cost estimates, feasibility studies and detailed budgets across all design stages.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tender documents, and advise on cost‑efficient materials and methods.
• Assist in contractor selection, bid evaluation and negotiate tender costs.
• Monitor project expenditures, forecast final costs and certify payments.
• Administer contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC), manage variations, change orders and resolve disputes.
• Identify financial risks, implement value engineering and advise on lifecycle costing and sustainability.
• Finalize accounts, release retentions and provide post‑project cost analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Registered with BORAQS (Kenya) or equivalent; RICS membership desirable.
• Minimum 5 years site‑based experience on large residential complexes or industrial warehouses.
• Proven expertise with FIDIC contract conditions and strong knowledge of the Kenyan market.
