Regional Sales Manager - Central

About the role

Haco Industries (Kenya) Limited, an FMCG manufacturer supplying products to the East African and COMESA markets, is looking for an experienced and passionate sales leader as Regional Sales Manager, based in Central, Kenya. The role reports to the General Trade Manager and strengthens market presence, stakeholder relationships and sales growth across the Central region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans that meet or exceed targets across all channels, and design route-to-market strategies for general and modern trade
• Translate sales targets into actionable plans for the team, setting clear KPIs and accountability measures
• Lead, coach and supervise the regional sales team, with regular performance reviews, on-the-job training and coaching
• Build relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and other partners, negotiating commercial terms
• Analyse market conditions, consumer behaviour and competitors, and share insights with senior management on products, pricing and promotions
• Identify underserved territories, product gaps and emerging trends
• Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, budget utilization reports and performance analysis, and report sales volumes, territory coverage, stock levels and competitor movements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or another relevant field
• At least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG
• At least one year of active distributor recruitment process
• Demonstrated success managing sales teams and growing general trade markets
• Willingness to travel frequently within Central Kenya and sometimes beyond

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
