Regional Sales Manager, SSA East

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager, SSA East will lead sales activities across 15 Sub‑Saharan African countries, covering poultry, pets, ruminants, swine, equine and VPH sectors. Based in Nairobi, you will drive business objectives, implement market access strategies and ensure compliance with Boehringer Ingelheim global policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain country‑specific business plans in collaboration with the Head of Animal Health.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts using distributor and market data.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities to sustain growth.
• Manage distributor relationships, monitor stock availability and coordinate product launches.
• Track sales performance, conduct monthly reviews and align strategies with revenue targets.
• Execute marketing plans in partnership with sales and marketing leads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and distributors, ensuring high‑quality customer engagement.

Required profile

• Veterinary Degree or specialist degree in Microbiology, Virology or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience in a sales leadership role within animal health.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of animal health products and market dynamics.
• Strong understanding of distribution channel management.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.
