Regional Supply Chain Management Specialist

About the role

The Regional Supply Chain Management Specialist supports the Regional SCM Director in overseeing all supply chain activities across the East Africa Region. This role serves as the technical focal point linking Field Offices, Global Center stakeholders, Shared Services, Support Offices and donors on supply‑chain matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional SCM Director in planning, sourcing and managing program spend to achieve value for money.
• Lead and facilitate supply‑chain assessments and implementation programmes in Field Offices.
• Provide guidance to Field Offices on sourcing goods, works and services, and ensure adoption of the global Source‑to‑Pay system (ProVision).
• Drive delivery of SCM KPIs, purchasing efficiency and benefits reporting.
• Review procurement documentation for quality and compliance.
• Support development of regional and Field Office sourcing strategies, policies and governance structures.
• Facilitate best‑practice exchanges with partners on relief, development and advocacy supply‑chain issues.

Required profile

• Proven ability to complete project‑level supply‑chain strategic activities with attention to detail.
• Experience in coordinating supply‑chain planning, procurement, vendor management and risk mitigation.
• Strong reporting and communication skills for regular project updates.

Required skills

• ProVision (global Source‑to‑Pay system) proficiency.
