Relationship Officer (Credit Sales)

About the role

Fincorp Credit is looking for a Relationship Officer to grow its customer base, build strong client relationships, generate quality business and help meet branch targets. The role sits in the Sales department and covers Westlands, CBD, Kitengela and Kamakis.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Drive quality loan and business acquisition in line with Fincorp's credit policies.
• Conduct market visits and customer activations to generate new business.
• Follow up on leads, applications and customer relationships, and support loan portfolio quality through effective follow-up.
• Monitor customer accounts and support timely collections where required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote customer retention.
• Meet agreed individual and branch sales targets.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain proper customer records.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and other teams to achieve branch objectives.

Required profile

• A relevant diploma or bachelor's degree.
• Previous experience in sales, relationship management, microfinance, banking, SACCOs or credit/lending is an advantage.
• Strong business development and customer acquisition skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of the local market.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; target-driven, proactive and self-motivated.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Willingness to conduct field-based customer and market visits.
