About the role
We are looking for a remote Biology expert to create and solve challenging biology problems that will be used to evaluate large language models. This short‑term (3‑month) contract offers $250 per completed task and flexible hours.
Key responsibilities
- Design biology problems that probe the limits of LLMs, covering topics from early undergraduate to PhD level.
- Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous reasoning.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals.
- Help define new benchmark datasets based on biology curricula.
- Analyze complex biological questions using a structured, logical approach.
- Explain concepts in simple language, using visuals or simulations when appropriate.
- Provide detailed feedback and annotations for AI evaluation workflows.
Required profile
- Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field (or currently pursuing a PhD/Post‑doc).
- Strong research, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Creative and lateral thinking, with excellent written communication.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a desktop or laptop.
- LinkedIn profile must be included in the résumé; background verification will be performed after onboarding.

- Compensation of $250 per completed task.
- Flexible schedule – at least 4 hours per day, up to 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
