About the role
The Reporting and Information Management Officer supports WFP Kenya in producing high‑quality reports, managing programme data, and creating communication content. Working closely with programme, partnerships and communications teams, the officer enhances data‑driven reporting, donor visibility and knowledge sharing.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and consolidate reports, situation updates, briefs and donor materials, incorporating inputs from field offices and programme teams.
- Prepare presentations, talking points and operational summaries while ensuring compliance with WFP and donor reporting standards.
- Maintain information systems, trackers and knowledge‑management tools; organise and present programme data in clear formats.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for internal use.
- Develop human‑interest stories, programme highlights and visibility content for newsletters, web, social media and briefs.
- Support storytelling with field insights and ensure alignment with WFP branding and humanitarian communication principles.
- Liaise with country office, field teams and technical units; facilitate inter‑agency coordination and information flow.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Development Studies, Information Management or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in communications, reporting or information management.
- Experience in donor reporting, content development or knowledge management is desirable.
- Fluent English; experience in UN or multicultural humanitarian environments is an asset.

- UN Volunteer full‑time position with a monthly living allowance of US$2,740 – US$3,190.
