Restaurant Waitress – Beachfront Dining

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, full‑time Restaurant Waitress to join our beachfront team in Mombasa. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders and ensure a relaxed, high‑quality dining experience by the sea.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and present menus with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar.
• Serve dishes and drinks, explaining menu items and daily specials.
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service areas throughout service.
• Process payments and handle billing accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
• Address guest questions, concerns or special requests promptly.
• Uphold the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that reflects the beachfront setting.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and stand for extended periods while carrying trays safely.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional approach.
• Experience or familiarity with food & beverage service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Clear verbal communication skills for explaining menu items and taking orders.
• Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays safely and work flexible schedules.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili or other languages is an asset.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable in an informal yet fast‑paced setting.
• Basic understanding of cooking or food preparation concepts is a plus.
• Previous experience in coastal or high‑volume restaurants is advantageous.
