Safeguarding Associate Field Manager

About the role

The Safeguarding Associate Field Manager will support GiveDirectly’s Mothers and Babies programme in Migori County, ensuring that all activities are delivered safely and respectfully. Working closely with local teams and communities, you will help prevent abuse, respond to safeguarding concerns, and strengthen reporting pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and review operational tools to identify potential risks.
• Receive, document, and coordinate responses to safeguarding concerns using survivor‑centred case management protocols.
• Establish and maintain a network of safeguarding focal points across the programme.
• Map and engage trusted local service providers to strengthen referral pathways.
• Provide safeguarding expertise during planning, design, and delivery of programme activities.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in safeguarding, protection, or related humanitarian roles.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities and staff in a field setting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to follow established escalation procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with safeguarding risk assessments and case management.
• Knowledge of survivor‑centred practices and referral mechanisms.
• Ability to travel regularly to field sites and attend relevant events.
