Sales and Marketing Fellow

About the role

The Sales and Marketing Fellow will support BURN Manufacturing’s growth by expanding existing channels, creating new distribution partnerships, and strengthening the direct sales team in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Help grow customers within our existing retail, micro‑finance, export, and corporate channels.
• Develop new distribution channels and institutional partnerships, designing strategies for large‑scale distribution and financing.
• Work with Sales Representatives on professional development areas.
• Plan and conduct marketing events with our team of 20 activators.
• Consult with the VP of Sales and Marketing on export sales strategy.
• Help develop internal systems for a new Direct Sales team.
• Help develop strategy for the new Direct Sales team.

Required profile

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High level of comfort working with clients.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to ‘sell for good’.
• Consumer product sales experience.
• Preference for MBA students or recent graduates with sales & marketing experience.
• Candidates with East African experience.

• 12‑month fellowship in Ruiru, Kenya.
• Stipend of $1,100 per month.
