Sales Associate – Kisumu

About the role

As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of Mamlo Foods at various customer touchpoints, creating product awareness and driving sales. You will work across retail outlets, pop‑up stores, farmers’ markets, exhibitions and digital platforms, delivering a memorable brand experience.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to promote and sell Mamlo Foods products.
• Set up and maintain merchandising displays at markets and events.
• Collect customer feedback and market insights to inform product and campaign improvements.
• Maintain accurate sales records using POS systems and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with community groups, women’s networks and other local partners to expand reach.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Sales, Marketing or Business Management.
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, promotions or customer‑facing roles, preferably in food, FMCG or social‑enterprise sectors.
• Strong communication, negotiation and storytelling abilities.
• Energetic, positive attitude with a passion for social impact and sustainable agriculture.
• Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours, including weekends.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Google Sheets.
• Basic knowledge of CRM tools and sales processes.
