Sales Executive (Cosmetics)

About the role

A client of Brites Management Services is looking for an energetic, results-driven Sales Executive to drive the sales and visibility of hair and beauty products across assigned retail outlets. The successful candidate ensures products are well presented, adequately stocked and visible to customers, supported by effective merchandising and sales activities. The position is full time, based in Nakuru/Nairobi, with a stated salary of KShs 30,000 plus commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell hair and beauty products across assigned retail outlets and achieve set daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Identify new sales opportunities and grow product distribution within the assigned territory.
• Keep products properly displayed, well positioned and adequately stocked, and implement agreed merchandising standards, promotions and point-of-sale activities.
• Monitor product visibility, pricing, stock levels and competitor activity in assigned outlets.
• Build strong relationships with retailers, shop owners and outlet staff, follow up on orders and address retailer concerns.
• Visit outlets regularly, gather information on competitors and customers, and prepare daily and weekly sales, merchandising and outlet visit reports.
• Educate retailers and customers on product features and benefits, support promotional campaigns and help increase product penetration and market share.

Required profile

• Certificate in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty or hair products.
• Previous experience in merchandising and retail outlet management is an advantage.
• Ability to work in the field and regularly visit retail outlets.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of sales and merchandising practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to prepare basic sales and merchandising reports.
