Sales Executive (Office Based Sales)

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales Executive for office-based sales in the construction materials and building supplies industry, based in Ndenderu (Limuru). The role covers customer enquiries, order processing, relationship management and sales reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to walk-in customers and telephone enquiries, recommend suitable construction materials and convert enquiries into confirmed sales.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms within approved company policies to close sales and meet targets.
• Follow up on pending quotations, enquiries and prospective customers.
• Provide accurate product information and build relationships with clients to encourage repeat purchases and referrals.
• Handle complaints and enquiries professionally, keeping customers informed on orders, payments, collections and deliveries.
• Prepare quotations, sales orders and invoices, coordinate with the store, warehouse, procurement and delivery teams, and record sales data.
• Follow up on payments and outstanding balances, work toward daily, weekly and monthly sales targets, and submit regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field is an added advantage.
• Two to three years of proven experience in sales, customer service or a related commercial role.
• Experience selling construction materials, hardware or building supplies is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, close sales and achieve targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic sales documentation; point-of-sale experience is desirable.
• Good numerical skills and ability to prepare quotations and calculate prices accurately.
