About the role
The Sales Manager will drive passenger revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen the airline’s brand across East Africa. This position blends strategic market development with hands‑on relationship management, engaging travel trade partners, corporate clients, and industry stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute localized sales strategies to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Build and maintain partnerships with travel agents, OTAs, tour operators, and consolidators, expanding the distribution network.
- Prospect and secure corporate travel accounts, negotiate tariffs and preferred‑partner agreements.
- Collaborate with marketing to launch promotional campaigns, product releases, and fare offers.
- Monitor competitor activity, capacity changes, and pricing trends; provide analytical insights and forecasts to senior management.
- Oversee local sales office administration, documentation, and reporting, coordinating with airport operations and GSA partners to resolve escalations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management or related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in the aviation or travel sector.
- Deep knowledge of the East African travel trade structure, key players, and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency with airline reservation systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office suite.
