About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Team Leader to head our Corporate New Business Development team within Old Mutual’s Health Corporate Sales division. The role focuses on acquiring new corporate clients, driving growth, and ensuring compliance with AML and KYC standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Business Development Executives to meet acquisition targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and prioritize target markets and industries for new client acquisition.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through networking and proactive outreach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design customized solutions and oversee smooth onboarding.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to uncover growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular performance, market, and client feedback reports for senior management.
- Ensure adherence to AML, sanctions, and KYC policies, conducting due diligence and escalating any compliance concerns.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- Ability to think strategically and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with compliance processes, including AML and KYC, is essential.
Required skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic planning and sales strategy development.
- Market research and analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of AML, sanctions and KYC compliance procedures.
