Sales Representative - Lamu

About the role

This is a field sales position based in Lamu, focused on working with distributors and outlets in the assigned territory to grow sales and product availability. The holder must be willing to relocate to live within the assigned market.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily morning market schedules with the distributor and attend the distributor's premises each morning before going to the market.
• Visit existing and potential outlets in the territory to meet sales targets and sustain business growth.
• Work with distributors to achieve product availability targets and close accessibility gaps.
• Promote adherence to Recommended Retail Price (RPP) guidelines for strategic brands across channels and outlets.
• Identify, negotiate, plan and run activations such as promotions in line with the territory sales plan.
• Maintain the required customer visit hit rate and minimum order quantities or values to drive sales in volume and value.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with distributors and customers, and resolve their queries and complaints quickly with area management.
• Supply sales management with reports on customer needs, problems, competition and opportunities, and submit accurate, timely reports to the area manager.
• Collaborate with distributors to enforce minimum execution standards and carry out other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• A business-related diploma, degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a field sales role.
• Willingness to relocate to live within the assigned market.
