Sales Staff - Men's Section

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales Staff member for its men's section in Mombasa. The role covers sales, customer service, product knowledge, POS/ERP transactions and store upkeep, with a stated pay of KSh 25,000 plus commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Sell actively, understand customer needs, recommend products and turn enquiries into sales, while achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets through upselling and cross-selling.
• Welcome customers, answer questions and handle complaints promptly, keeping a positive impression of the business.
• Build product knowledge of the men's range, including features, benefits, pricing and new arrivals, and recommend suitable items.
• Process purchases accurately through the POS/ERP system, issue receipts, record sales and report discrepancies, returns and exchanges to the supervisor.
• Keep products well displayed, labelled and priced, assist with stock counts and report low or damaged stock, and keep the sales area clean and tidy.
• Promote promotions, discounts and new arrivals, maintain displays to merchandising standards and give feedback to management on customer preferences and competitors.
• Work with colleagues and the Store Manager to meet sales objectives and support the team during busy periods.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, Retail Management or a related field.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in retail.
• Previous experience with POS or ERP systems is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong selling, negotiation, upselling and customer service skills.
• Good organization and time management, and ability to work toward targets in a fast-paced retail environment.
