School Principal

About the role

The Principal will serve as the chief academic, administrative and spiritual leader of St. Lasalle School, providing strategic direction and ensuring the achievement of the school’s mission, vision and objectives. This role requires strong leadership to advance the Catholic and Lasallian values while fostering academic excellence and holistic learner development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and transformational leadership, developing and implementing school strategic and annual operational plans.
• Improve academic performance and learner outcomes through effective CBC curriculum implementation and assessment.
• Lead staff recruitment, supervision, appraisal, mentoring and professional development.
• Manage student discipline, staff performance and create a safe, inclusive, learner‑centred environment.
• Oversee school administration, budgeting, resource mobilisation and prudent financial management.
• Collaborate with the Board, teachers, parents, Church and other stakeholders to promote the Catholic and Lasallian identity.
• Lead innovation and integrate technology into school management and education.

Required profile

• Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to Christian values and the Lasallian mission.
• Minimum two years of proven experience in a similar school leadership position.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Deep knowledge of the Competency‑Based Curriculum (CBC) and competency‑based assessment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, mentor and motivate teaching and non‑teaching staff.
• Strong commitment to child safeguarding, learner welfare and holistic formation.
• High integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and accountability.
• Meet relevant TSC and other statutory professional requirements.
