Security Coordinator – Nairobi

About the role

The Security Coordinator will support Eni’s operations in Nairobi by developing and implementing security plans, monitoring risks and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. This role reports to senior security management and works closely with local authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and execution of security strategies and objectives for the Nairobi site.
• Assess, monitor and manage security risks, ensuring alignment with legal and corporate requirements.
• Provide expert advice and support to management on security matters.
• Coordinate response to incidents, emergencies and crises, ensuring timely reporting and escalation.
• Gather and analyse security and business intelligence to inform risk‑management decisions.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities and relevant stakeholders.
• Support investigations, security checks and audits to protect employees, assets and company reputation.
• Monitor trends, human‑rights issues and security incidents, ensuring appropriate follow‑up.

Required profile

• Secondary‑level technical education; a degree is preferred.
• Experience in security operations and knowledge of local security procedures.
• Fluent in English; Kiswahili is an advantage.
• Strong planning, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and results‑oriented mindset.
