Security Operations Manager – Private Security

About the role

Our client, a well‑established private security firm operating nationwide, is seeking a results‑driven Security Operations Manager to lead and optimise both field and support operations across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for client retention and new business acquisition.
• Create, update and enforce operational policies, procedures and SOPs to ensure compliance.
• Provide strategic direction to branch managers and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Oversee the guard force and field supervisors, managing deployment, discipline and performance.
• Act as primary escalation point for client issues, resolving incidents within 12 hours and conducting investigations.
• Analyse operational structures and implement data‑driven improvements to boost efficiency.
• Manage departmental administration, budgeting and cost‑effective systems.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, mentorship and corrective actions for staff.
• Supervise specialised units such as the Training School, Technical Department and Canine Section.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large private security teams and field operations.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and client‑relationship skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight resolution timelines.
• Experience with budget control and operational reporting.
