Security Supervisor

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Security Supervisor in Nairobi. The role covers supervising security guards, overseeing access control and risk management, handling incidents and reporting to clients. The advertised salary is KSh 30,000.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise security guards, allocate duties, prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate deployment of personnel at assigned sites.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline, uniform compliance and performance, and conduct site inspections and security briefings.
• Oversee access control, visitor registration, vehicle checks and movement of authorised personnel and property.
• Carry out routine security inspections and risk assessments, and monitor surveillance systems, patrols and other security arrangements.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinate evacuation and communication with emergency services, and investigate incidents within authority.
• Prepare daily occurrence, incident and inspection reports, and keep clients and management informed.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, Police Studies or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Experience managing security teams, allocating duties, monitoring performance and handling incidents.
• Experience supervising guards across multiple sites or managing security operations for corporate clients.

Required skills

• Relevant security training or professional certification.
• Experience in access control, CCTV surveillance, emergency response and security risk assessment.
