Senior Associate – Early Years & Human Development

About the role

Genesis Analytics is seeking a Senior Associate to lead analytical workstreams on early childhood development projects for governments and donors. The role combines rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis with direct client engagement, all delivered remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage end‑to‑end analytical workstreams, including data collection, evidence synthesis and delivery of client‑ready outputs.
• Lead small to medium‑size client projects, overseeing workplans, budgets, internal and external teams, and project administration.
• Conduct system diagnostics, financing studies, PPP feasibility, workforce analyses and policy benchmarking for early years initiatives.
• Produce technical reports, investment cases, policy notes and slide decks, presenting findings to senior government and donor audiences.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to business development, proposal writing and methodology design.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in early years consulting, research, government or international development.
• Outstanding academic record (top 10 % of cohort) in Education, Early Childhood Development, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Statistics or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated consulting craft: problem structuring, hypothesis development and delivery of high‑quality client outputs under pressure.
• Project management experience, including budget oversight and team coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages (French, Arabic, Portuguese) are a plus.
• Proven ability to use AI tools responsibly to enhance analytical and written work.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills using at least one of Stata, R or Python.
• Experience working with learning assessments, EMIS, DHS, MICS or other administrative datasets.
• Effective use of AI‑assisted tools for data analysis and report generation.
