Senior Backend Engineer (C#/.NET)

About the role

Join M‑KOPA’s fast‑growing e‑mobility business as a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design and deliver event‑driven microservices that enable clean, affordable transport for riders across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Build event‑driven microservices that power M‑KOPA Mobility’s e‑mobility financing platform.
• Own the full software lifecycle—from architecture decisions and implementation to production monitoring and decommissioning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Africa, Europe and the UK to deliver scalable, reliable backend solutions.

Required profile

• Strong experience in C#/.NET development and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
