Senior Backend Engineer – Mobility (12‑month FTC)

About the role

Join M‑KOPA’s fast‑growing Mobility team to build event‑driven microservices that power clean, affordable transport across Africa. This 12‑month fixed‑term contract can extend or become permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C#/.NET microservices using Azure Service Bus and similar messaging technologies.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, from architecture decisions to production monitoring and observability.
• Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing across all environments.

Required profile

• Strong experience with C#/.NET and event‑driven architectures.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• DevOps mindset with experience in automated testing and continuous delivery.
