Senior HR & Operations Officer (AIM Region)

About the role

The Senior HR & Operations Officer will lead HR service delivery and operational functions for the AIM region in Kisii, Kenya. Reporting to the Country Office, the role ensures compliance with BRAC policies, labor laws, and oversees procurement, office administration and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding and probation reviews for branch and casual staff, maintaining recruitment trackers and statutory documentation.
• Oversee contract administration, payroll inputs, benefits enrollment and HRIS support for field offices.
• Implement occupational health and safety measures, handle incident reporting and promote staff wellness initiatives.
• Coordinate regional procurement processes, market research, supplier management and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Supervise office administration, fleet management and act as the primary safety and security focal point for the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR, operations or administration.
• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, HR best practices and HR information systems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Ability to navigate and support HRIS platforms.
