Senior Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer to join our ICT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deployment, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of server infrastructure, virtual environments, network security solutions, and ICT hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimise Windows and Linux server environments.
• Create, manage, and monitor virtual machines using Hyper‑V, VMware or Proxmox.
• Perform server patching, updates, backups, disaster‑recovery testing and capacity planning.
• Install, configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless infrastructure.
• Support LAN, WAN, VPN and remote‑access services and manage firewall rules and security controls.
• Monitor security events, conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to incidents.
• Maintain ICT asset inventories, documentation and provide second‑ and third‑level support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in systems or network administration, or infrastructure engineering.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration.
• Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat, Rocky Linux, CentOS).
• Virtualisation platforms – Hyper‑V, VMware, Proxmox.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Firewall and VPN configuration and management.
• Cybersecurity and access‑control best practices.
• Server and storage hardware management.
• Cloud platforms – Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash or Python.
