Senior Manager, Maternal, Child Health & Nutrition – Africa (1‑Year FTC)

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the development and oversight of a comprehensive portfolio of investments that advance maternal, child health and nutrition (MCH+N) across Africa. Reporting to the Director, Maternal, Child Health and Development, the role combines strategic analysis, stakeholder collaboration and high‑impact visual communication to drive transformational change.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of investments aligned with CIFF’s Africa Strategy and MCH+N missions.
• Lead strategic analysis, visual communication and presentation of research insights for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate with government bodies, donors and implementing agencies to shape priorities and co‑create financing mechanisms.
• Oversee investment design, grantee selection, due‑diligence, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, ensuring compliance with CIFF procedures.
• Manage the Fluxx online grants system, collaborate with finance and legal teams on grant agreements and disbursements.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in medical sciences, nutrition, public health, epidemiology or related field.
• Extensive experience in maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition within the African context, including strategy development and evidence‑based programme design.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights and high‑quality presentations.
• Strong understanding of impact measurement, monitoring & evaluation and health financing.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
