Senior Officer, Corporate and Business Partnerships

About the role

The African Wildlife Foundation is seeking a Senior Officer to lead corporate and business partnership initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will drive the full fundraising cycle, build strategic relationships, and help secure resources that support conservation across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of corporate prospects whose ESG, CSR, and sustainability goals align with AWF’s priorities.
• Design partnership strategies that meet income targets and identify opportunities for grants, cause‑related marketing, event sponsorship, matched funding, gifts‑in‑kind and strategic alliances.
• Lead proposal and content creation, including briefings, presentations, and customized collateral for prospective partners.
• Collaborate with technical, program, design and finance teams to define fundable projects, budgets and impact frameworks.
• Coordinate internal award management processes, organize project kickoff meetings and act as the primary liaison with partners.
• Meet defined fundraising targets and contribute to growing corporate support from $1 million to $3 million per year by 2030.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate partnership development and fundraising within the nonprofit or conservation sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a full fundraising cycle from prospect research to stewardship.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills to align partnership opportunities with organizational goals.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for diverse stakeholder audiences.
