Senior Pension Administrator

About the role

The Senior Pension Administrator will support the Assistant Manager Client Relations by managing the administration of retirement benefit schemes within CIC Life’s Retirement Benefits Department. This role ensures compliance with regulator requirements and delivers high‑quality service to scheme members.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, high‑standard customer service for all client requests related to retirement benefits.
• Administer Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Hybrid schemes, including processing payments, preparing member statements and accounts.
• Maintain accurate records and file Quarterly Returns of Contributions with the Retirement Benefits Authority.
• Assist in marketing the organization’s products and cross‑selling alternative solutions.
• Prepare summary reports and present fund administrator reports at Board of Trustees and Annual General Meetings.
• Ensure compliance with the Retirement Benefits Authority, KRA, and licensing requirements.
• Guide new schemes through registration with RBA and KRA, and process pensioner payroll, life certificates and P9 forms.
• Support the drafting of Trust Deeds, Rules, and Service Level Agreements.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling administration of retirement benefit schemes.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan pension regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with trustees, members and internal stakeholders.
