Senior Program Associate (Consultant)

About the role

Global Health Strategies is seeking a Senior Program Associate to lead communications and advocacy work for multiple client accounts. Based in Nairobi, you will work full‑time in a hybrid setting, delivering strategic messaging, media materials, and advocacy support for health‑focused projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce strategic communications deliverables, including pitch decks, narratives, fact sheets, social‑media posts, and digital content.
• Craft compelling press materials, opinion pieces, speeches, and talking points for high‑level influencers.
• Track media trends, new evidence, and policy developments that affect priority health challenges.
• Identify strategic advocacy moments and support championing initiatives across client portfolios.
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with small multidisciplinary teams, and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in communications, advocacy, or project management, preferably in global health or development.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with out‑of‑the‑box problem‑solving skills.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities.
• Comfortable working beyond standard 9‑to‑5 hours in a fast‑moving environment.
