Senior Program Manager – THRIVE 2030 Kenya Project

About the role

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the THRIVE 2030 programme in Kenya. Based in Nairobi with regular field travel, the role provides technical leadership and coordination to ensure resilient, sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable children across 26 project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall coordination and technical leadership for THRIVE 2030 interventions, including Empowered World View, Savings for Transformation, Inclusive Market System Development and Vision Fund Kenya.
• Guide the transition of participating projects according to approved transition plans.
• Develop planning guidelines and lead the creation of annual implementation plans and budgets in partnership with national technical teams.
• Offer technical support to field teams for rollout of programme components, collaborating with technical program teams and grant/project managers.
• Monitor monthly project progress with national technical teams, project managers, field officers and the DMEAL coordinator to ensure timely execution and compliance with World Vision Kenya and World Vision US accountability frameworks.
• Model Christian values and uphold professional ethics, participating in team devotions, chapel and prayer gatherings as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in senior programme or project management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian mission and ability to observe conduct compatible with Christian principles.
• Willingness to attend regular team devotions, chapel services and prayer gatherings.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to work collaboratively across matrixed teams.
