Senior Relationship Manager - FMCG Banking

About the role

KCB Bank Kenya is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager for its Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment. The role implements the FMCG portfolio strategy in line with the overall KCB Group strategy, delivers annual revenue, fees, commissions, balance sheet and customer growth targets, and manages key regional customers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the FMCG Business Segment Portfolio strategy in line with the overall KCB Group Strategy.
• Deliver annual business growth targets: revenue, fees and commissions, balance sheet and customer number growth.
• Execute client deals in line with developed strategic client plans and sales growth tactics with business partners.
• Champion consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to retain and build loyalty.
• Maintain and deepen client relationships personally, and manage key regional customers and stakeholders such as sector and product management teams, Bancassurance and capital markets partners.
• Monitor daily referrals so client facilities stay within bank parameters, and exercise discretion on account conduct based on knowledge of client activities.
• Submit quality credit proposals on time in line with Credit Policy guidelines.
• Maintain portfolio quality within Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and Portfolio at Risk (PAR) limits.

Required profile

• University degree from a recognized institution.
• Seven years of banking experience in the financial/banking sector.
• Five years in corporate relationship management within FMCG, manufacturing or agribusiness.
• Five years in credit and financial analysis.
• Five years in client portfolio management.
• Deep knowledge of FMCG, manufacturing and agribusiness value chains and sector trends.
