Senior Software Engineer – Platform

About the role

HR Box Africa is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve its core platform services. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end management of the instrument lifecycle, ensuring data integrity, traceability and auditability across complex multi‑party workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain platform services that handle verification, allocation and retirement of instruments.
• Architect solutions that embed data integrity, traceability and auditability as structural properties.
• Create and evolve APIs and data models that synchronize information between internal systems and external partners.
• Collaborate with external suppliers, verifiers and customers to support multi‑party workflows.
• Lead technical initiatives independently while keeping stakeholders aligned.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering large‑scale, production‑grade systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
