Shipping In-Charge (FMCG, Beverages, Dairy)

About the role

MSVL Group is looking for an experienced Shipping In-Charge in Nairobi to manage day-to-day shipping, warehouse dispatch, route operations, stock management, returns and transportation. The postholder manages a team of about 30 to 40 people and keeps dispatch operations smooth, accurate and on time, with proper documentation and operational KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping, dispatch and warehouse operations so deliveries are timely and accurate.
• Plan and manage sales routes, van sales, route allocation and route reconciliation.
• Supervise and coordinate salesmen, drivers, warehouse staff and other operational team members, and plan manpower and shifts.
• Handle stock management, including physical stock verification, FIFO, stock movement and inventory accuracy.
• Manage inward and outward warehouse operations, receiving, dispatching and documentation.
• Ensure accurate physical stock counts, GRNs and MIS records.
• Process and reconcile returns, and manage proof of delivery (POD) follow-up and documentation.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly operational reports and monitor warehouse, transport and stock KPIs.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Finance and Transport teams and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in FMCG, dairy, beverages or a similar distribution environment.
• Ability to manage and coordinate 30 to 40 team members and work in all shifts under pressure.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP, including transactions, reports and inventory/warehouse functions.
• Good understanding of route sales, van sales, cold chain and dairy/beverage warehouse operations.
• Stock management, FIFO, inward/outward operations, returns and route reconciliation.
• Transport management, POD management and preparation of MIS reports.
