Shop Manager – Automotive Parts

About the role

The Shop Manager will lead the daily operations of an automotive parts store in Nairobi, ensuring high sales performance and excellent customer service. This role combines team leadership, inventory control, and relationship management with garages and fleet customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the auto parts shop.
• Lead, train, and supervise the sales team.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and drive store performance.
• Maintain superior customer service and resolve complaints.
• Oversee inventory, stock replenishment, and accuracy.
• Coordinate purchasing based on inventory levels.
• Monitor fast‑moving and slow‑moving product lines.
• Ensure proper merchandising and product display.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Build and sustain relationships with garages, fleet companies, and wholesale customers.
• Prevent stock losses and enforce internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive spare parts industry.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive aftermarket and local market pricing.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Honest, responsible, and customer‑oriented attitude.
