Site Agent - Construction

About the role

A construction company in Nairobi is looking for a Site Agent to supervise daily site activities, site staff, subcontractors and suppliers. The role covers monitoring project timelines, progress and quality, coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients, and enforcing health, safety, environmental and construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities, site staff, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor project timelines, progress, work quality and resource utilization
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and construction standard compliance
• Manage site materials, equipment and manpower, and assist with cost control, procurement and budget monitoring
• Conduct site inspections, resolve defects or non-compliance issues promptly, and prepare regular progress reports

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in site supervision or construction management
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and team coordination skills under pressure

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control, safety regulations and contract management
• Proficiency in construction management or project tracking software is an added advantage
