Operations Supervisor - Cabro Making Site

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Operations Supervisor for its cabro-making site in Kenol-Thika within the construction industry. The supervisor oversees daily production, staff and quality, and ensures the site runs smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing of cabros, culverts and other construction materials, coordinating production schedules and workforce allocation
• Monitor site performance, enforce company policies and standards, and run continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure clients receive professional, timely service and handle inquiries, complaints and escalations
• Supervise site staff, manage performance, attendance and discipline, and conduct training and evaluations
• Monitor product quality, inspect finished goods and enforce corrective actions
• Manage raw material inventory, track usage of cement, aggregates and molds, and control costs and wastage
• Enforce health and safety measures, run safety audits and risk assessments, and oversee incident reporting
• Prepare operational, production and performance reports and monitor key performance indicators

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience on a busy construction or cabro-making site
• Proven experience supervising production and site operations
• Leadership and people management skills, with strong problem-solving, organizational and communication abilities

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality control processes and health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office and documentation/reporting tools
