Site Manager - Tusker Brewery

About the role

East African Breweries PLC (EABL), a public listed company and East Africa's leading branded alcohol beverage business, is hiring a Site Manager for its Tusker brewery. The role provides overall leadership and accountability for site performance, leading cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable production of beer, RTDs, ANADs, ciders and Ready-to-Serve brands while meeting safety, quality, cost, service and sustainability targets. It also drives asset care, maintenance excellence and capital investment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, health, safety and environmental standards, and foster a culture that protects people, products, assets and reputation.
• Develop and execute the site strategy and operating plans, and deliver targets across safety, quality, cost, service, OEE, productivity, water, energy and waste.
• Build a high-performance culture through leadership, talent development, succession planning and employee engagement.
• Lead asset care strategies, maintenance excellence, equipment lifecycle management and capital investment.
• Drive the Manufacturing Excellence (EISC) strategy, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of broad manufacturing experience in a senior role leading large teams.
• Experience managing budgets, productivity programs and capital investments, and leading operations across safety, quality, cost, service and productivity metrics.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, change management and technical systems knowledge.
• Degree preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or another science/technical field; MBA is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Preferred: Master Brewer, IBD, CMRP, WCM Asset Care certification, Lean Six Sigma or PMP.
• Knowledge of industry-standard technical systems.
