Site Services Installation Technician – Data Center Containment

About the role

Subzero Engineering is looking for a Site Services Installation Technician to install hot and cold aisle containment systems in mission‑critical data centre environments across North America. The role is ideal for candidates with construction, mechanical or field‑service experience who enjoy travel and fast‑paced work.

Key responsibilities

• Install hot and cold aisle containment components, including doors, roof systems, panels and related hardware.
• Measure, cut, assemble and install materials such as aluminum, steel, glass and plastic.
• Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, design specifications and multi‑step installation instructions.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges, perform inspections and maintenance, and resolve field issues.
• Manage and submit expense reports, adhere to customer security requirements, and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe condition and train/mentor new installers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in construction, electrical, mechanical, HVAC or related fields.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction, installation, field service, assembly, mechanical or maintenance roles.
• Experience working in data‑center or mission‑critical facilities and reading blueprints.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and data‑center cooling principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
